Sheriff Records Requests
For a Calhoun County Sheriff booking record, incarceration search, arrest report, or photograph, contact the Sheriff’s Office Records Division. The office lists 269-969-6431 and foia@calhouncountymi.gov. Written requests can also be filed and tracked through the county’s NextRequest portal.
The Sheriff and Justice Center mailing location is 161 E. Michigan Avenue, Battle Creek, MI 49014-4066. The official Records Division page should be checked before visiting because hours and fees can change. It states that an incarceration-record search requires photo identification and a $2 search fee, while FOIA reproduction charges vary and estimates above $50 may require a deposit.
Custody and Jail Matters
Current county custody begins with the official P2C inmate search and the Calhoun County jail page. A newly processed booking may not appear at once, and a released or transferred person can disappear from the public roster. Contact the jail through its official page for current operational information rather than relying on an old search result.
